Some things to keep in mind as you read through the books:

  1. Each story is a standalone story.
  2. Some stories are intertwined with others, but they are standalone.
  3. You don't have to read the books or the stories in order.
  4. The stories span across eras and are fantasy while others are semi-realistic mixed with fantasy.
  5. I want the reader not to be afraid of the Grim Reaper and to see him as a compassionate and loving being with special powers he uses to fulfill his responsibility of collecting the souls of the living and guiding them to their next existence (whatever that may be)
  6. The stories are about people, animals, dinosaurs, dragons, etc.

For Parents

At its heart, Chronicles of the Grim Reaper is not a series about death. It is a series about life—about love, friendship, courage, compassion, and the moments that shape who we become.

The Grim Reaper serves as a quiet observer and guide, helping readers explore the value of every life and every story. Many parents have found these stories to be meaningful opportunities to discuss kindness, empathy, animals, family, perseverance, resilience, and the importance of making the most of the time we have together.

Whether following a dragon's journey, a kitten's second chance, an orca's adventure, a mallard's migration, or the traditions that connect generations, these stories encourage meaningful conversations between children, parents, grandparents, teachers, and homeschool families.

Every life has a story. Every story matters.
