Reece-Alexander Norris-Paterson - Cover Design Artist (Volume 2)

Reece-Alexander Norris-Paterson is the cover design artist for Chronicles of the Grim Reaper: Volume 2. We connected through Reedsy, and from the very first exchange, it was clear that he understood not only the character at the center of the series, but the quiet emotional weight the stories carry. He approached the project with care, insight, and an ability to translate story into image with clarity and intention.

Working with Reece-Alexander was a seamless and genuinely enjoyable experience. He is highly attentive, responsive, and thoughtful in his process, moving quickly without ever losing sight of detail or meaning. His ability to listen, absorb direction, and then elevate the vision made the collaboration feel natural and efficient from start to finish.

The Volume 2 cover builds upon the visual foundation established in Volume I while confidently standing on its own. Reece-Alexander succeeded in honoring the spirit of the series while allowing the second volume to feel like a progression — familiar, yet distinct. The result is a cover that feels deeply connected to the stories it represents and invites readers further into the world of the Grim Reaper.

I am extremely pleased with the work Reece-Alexander has done and truly grateful for the care he brought to this project. I very much look forward to continuing our collaboration on future volumes and special editions, and I’m excited to see how readers respond to his interpretation of this next chapter in the series.

George Long — Cover Design Artist (Volume 1)

George Long is the cover design artist behind Chronicles of the Grim Reaper: Volume 1. We connected through Reedsy, and from the outset, George approached the project with a deep respect for the stories and a clear understanding that the cover needed to do more than look beautiful—it needed to establish the emotional and visual identity of the series.

Working with George was a thoughtful and collaborative experience. He took the time to listen closely, ask meaningful questions, and translate abstract themes into a strong, resonant visual presence. His sensitivity to tone, atmosphere, and balance resulted in a cover that feels timeless and intentional—one that invites readers in while honoring the depth and quiet gravity of the stories within.

The Volume I cover has been widely praised and remains one of the most recognizable and commented-on elements of the book. It became a visual anchor for the series, helping to shape the first impression readers carry with them before they ever turn the page. That cover went on to be part of a book that received three major literary awards: the International Impact Book Award, The BookFest Award (First Place, Short Stories), and the Independent Press Award (Winner, Anthology).

I am incredibly proud of what we created together. George’s work did not simply represent the book—it elevated it. His contribution was instrumental in how Chronicles of the Grim Reaper: Volume 1 was received, remembered, and recognized, and I am deeply grateful for the care and artistry he brought to this project.
