Readers Read the Reaper
One of the things I’ve always wanted to do with Chronicles of the Grim Reaper was make readers part of the experience, not just the audience.
This project is a way to do exactly that.
I’m inviting readers from anywhere in the world to become part of Chronicles of the Grim Reaper by recording themselves reading one of the stories aloud and sharing it in their own voice.
The goal is simple. I want to turn readers into storytellers.
Every voice brings something different to a story. Every reader connects to something different. That is what makes this special.
How It Works
You are welcome to record one, two, or all three video options. You can choose whichever feels most comfortable to you.
There is no right way to do this. Share as much or as little as you’d like.
You are welcome to choose stories from Volume 1, Volume 2, or both. If there is more than one story you’d like to read, you are welcome to record as many story videos as you’d like.
Video One
Introduce yourself, tell us your name and where you’re from, then read one of the stories aloud.
Example:
“Hi, my name is [Name], I’m from [City/Country/Province], and today I’ll be reading [Story Title] from Chronicles of the Grim Reaper.”
Video Two
Record a second short video sharing why you chose that story and what it meant to you.
Example:
“Hi, my name is [Name], I’m from [City/Country/Province], and I chose [Story Title] because…”
Video Three
Record a short video review sharing your thoughts on the book as a whole, the stories you connected with most, or anything you’d like others to know before reading.
This can be about one story, several stories, Volume 1, Volume 2, or your experience with Chronicles of the Grim Reaper overall.
Example:
“Hi, my name is [Name], I’m from [City/Country/Province], and one of the things I enjoyed most about Chronicles of the Grim Reaper was…”
You are welcome to submit just one video, two videos, all three, or more if there are multiple stories you’d like to share. It is entirely up to you and whatever you feel comfortable sharing.
How to Submit
Once your video is recorded, upload it wherever is easiest for you and send me the link so I can access it.
You can send:
- A Google Drive link
- A Dropbox link
- A WeTransfer link
- A private YouTube link
- Any shareable video link I can open and download
Please make sure the link is accessible so I’m able to view and download the video.
Before You Submit
By sending your video, you are giving permission for it to be shared as part of this project across Chronicles of the Grim Reaper platforms, including:
- My website
- My YouTube channel
- Social media
- Promotional features related to this project
Your video may be shared in full, in part, clipped for promotional use, or featured alongside other reader submissions.
